Design

Here at Excell, we work from any standard industrial plan or engineering drawing our customers supply to create design-build specifications for custom metal fabrication projects. This involves producing shop drawings that break metal fabrication designs down into component parts so that we can begin to visualize the fabrication process.

We prefer to work with MTC Shape Cutting, Pro Nest, and AutoCAD files, but are happy to accommodate files from any software system. We’ll even work with old-fashioned hand-drawn plans.

Custom Metal Design

We also provide front-end design services as part of our full-service custom metal fabrication offering. So if you know basically what you need, but aren’t sure how to get there, our in-house engineers can develop your concept into a properly certified specification. Just give us whatever you have —  “stick man” drawings on the backs of paper napkins are perfectly acceptable — and we’ll work it up.

If your custom metal fabrication project requires it, we’ll also collaborate with professional engineers from other disciplines to make sure everything is done right.
